Website General Features

Our websites (compare all three) reflect your program, your gift plans, and your institution. Unlike canned products in the marketplace, we do not always utilize “dynamic content” (see below) that makes your site identical to the non-profit next door... or the thousands of non-profits in the nation, for that matter. This makes us the only provider who delivers truly customized websites.

So, unless you’re looking for a cookie-cutter planned giving website, you’ve come to the right place.

Web Page Layout

  • Complete customization that even keeps your IT and Marketing departments happy.  We even court them if need be to put their minds at ease.
  • No ifs, and or buts. We do not differentiate between masthead, footers, body, photos, video clips, artwork, rotating pictures, etc.  They are all available and customizable.  In short, do not ask us questions: the answer is always yes unless the technology does not exist.
  • With our Pro Plus, there are no limitations on customization and positioning of items on a page.  You get what you want, and you can even dot the last "i".
  • With our Pro Plus, if you have your own copy, we can place it anywhere within the website. Anywhere! For our Basic and Advanced levels, we can add custom pages to accommodate your copy.
  • With our Pro Plus, if you want your own custom links, we can position them any way or any place that you want. With the Basic and Advenced levels, some limitations apply.
  • If you do not like or agree with the names of our links, or gift plans, we can gladly change them for you.
  • With our Pro Plus, we comply with your branding issues, whether you use contractions or not, and even formal language issues (example "Read More Detail" vs. "Read In More Detail").  (Some limitations apply for the Basic and Advanced Levels.)

We even work with your consultant if you have one... As your partner, we deliver a solution that works for you, and not a vendor’s mass-produced product that’s good for their bottom line and not yours.

You have choices.

Do not look for the fine print of “whenever possible” or “as closely possible” in our contract when it comes to customizing your website.  There is nothing to hide and no surprises after you partner with us.

Font Size and Viral Marketing Toolbar

On each page, you can have the following toolbar. It lets your prospect adjust font size, print the page, and forward it to a friend.

No Dynamic Content

There is a big give-and-take with dynamic content, and we will be blunt about it since the facts are on our side.

Dynamic content means copy that is fed into your website from a database everyone shares.

When it comes to dynamic content, we refer to it as common content, or, non-customizable content.

It is an inexpensive and convenient way for web developers to quickly distribute the same generic content to thousands of clients for pennies. Some vendors claim that dynamic content keeps your planned giving website fresh.  The problem? There is seldom fresh news in planned giving, and when there is, we place it on a special headline on your home page where it belongs.

In addition, your prospects will visit your website over days, and not months.  Therefore, your content will always look fresh for them even if it is two years old.  In short, monthly updates for the sake of updates are senseless and an unnecessary expense to pass along to our clients, because your prospects won't care, won't notice, and don't need.

Dynamic content also means re-hashed newsletter articles that are probably over 10 years old.  Now, that's not fresh content. In fact, it's useless content.

You’re not CNN

Dynamic content is perfect for news broadcasts. You’re not CNN, and planned giving does not deliver news by the minute. The last major news was the IRA Rollover, and that was over a year ago.

Since dynamic content does keep costs low, we use it to a limited degree on our Basic and Advanced websites. Therefore, other than a few pages, these sites are still highly customizable.

Please compare

Go ahead and check out the main planned giving providers and tell us what’s so exciting and fresh about their “dynamic content.” We’re confident you’ll partner with us and become part of our select clients

Bottom Line

Don’t fall for “exciting fresh content” on your planned giving website to motivate prospects to come back.  It won't work and they won't. The best way to motivate prospects to contact you and/or visit your website is through strategic links (we can help) as well as print marketing and display ads.

There are better things you can do for your planned giving marketing program, and we can help you accomplish them.
