Whom We Serve
Our Code of Honor
Every vendor puts themselves in the company of the angels when they talk about their ethical standards. But at VirtualGiving, the work we do and the claims we make about it really are founded on a code of honor. It’s the only way we feel comfortable doing business.
Yes, a powerful online planned giving presence, supported by the other Web-centric marketing tools that we offer, can help you increase your endowment.
Period.
Beyond that, we will never tell you that our clients are closing millions of dollars of planned gifts simply because they are using our websites. They’re not. It’s the fundraisers themselves – our clients and colleagues – who are closing the gifts. Other vendors may make this claim about their products, but we couldn’t look you in the eye and say it ourselves.
(OK, we’re also not dumb. VirtualGiving’s clients include some of the most productive fundraising shops in the nation, and we can just imagine the horselaugh we’d get from Yale, Berkeley, St. Jude’s Children’s or the American Heart Association if we claimed that our websites are the sole reason for their success.)
So we’re sorry – if you need a salesman wearing a black hat to persuade you to get a planned giving website, we really aren’t the e-marketing company for you.
